TRèS CHIC from Maggie McManus

The exterior of this New City, New York, house was inspired by Versailles, and the master bath carries the same regal air. “They wanted something very French,” says designer Maggie McManus of the McManus Group, Nyack, New York. “To that end, I used beautiful materials and kept the stone patterns simple.” She outfitted the water room, which contains the Jacuzzi and steam shower, with French gold fittings rather than of-the-moment chrome and nickel. The gold accents and neutral palette create a warm and inviting space.
